Managers receive alerts that have gone unnoticed by team members on duty.
Here is how it works:

Set an escalation or response timeout in the account manager portal under 'My team' (https://account.signl4.com/manage/Team). Choose from the list or type in a custom value.

To receive those escalated alerts (or response time breach notifications), set yourself to 'manager' status using the mobile app. You do it by simply tapping your profile pic on the app dashboard when 'off duty'. Any team member can set him/herself as 'manager'.
- You will be notified upon a breach of the defined response time via all notification channels according to your personal notification pattern.

Once you are checked in as a manager, you receive alert notifications only after the set response time was exceeded.
