There are a few reasons why push notifications might not be delivered to your phone:
- Your OS settings (iOS, Android) prohibited the SIGNL4 app from receiving push notifications. Check the notification settings for the SIGNL4 app.
- You have not enabled push notifications in your notification profile. In the SIGNL4 app, go to settings (gear icon)->Signaling and check if push is part of the notification chain.
- In case your mobile device was unable to register a push address with SIGNL4, you can remedy this by logging out from the SIGNL4 app and logging in again which refreshes the push address.
- If your device is prohibited to access certain URLS (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging), SIGNL4 cannot request a push address. Make sure access to Google FCM is allowed. For instance, if you are logged into Wifi, switch off Wifi / WLAN on your phone and perform step 3.
The following URLs need to be accessible from the mobile devices: *.googleapis.com/*
or at least:
https://device-provisioning.googleapis.com/checkin
https://firebaseinstallations.googleapis.com
https://fcmtoken.googleapis.com/register
https://iid.googleapis.com/iid/register
Please, note that certain devices (e.g. from Huawei) do not support push messaging via Google FCM and do thus not work with SIGNL4.
